Hayman Island, located in the Whitsundays chain on the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef is home to Australia’s most awarded ultra-luxury resort. The client came to AHA Creative for urgent brochure translation services from English to Chinese because of the unsatisfied translation copy they’ve got from another service provider. After read through the original copy and the translated copy, we realised the problem: neglect of different languages, cultures and habits of expression, which result in ideas are unidiomatically when expressed in Chinese.

AHA Creative believes every good translation is or should be a transcreation, and that’s what we suggested to the client. We did both “translation” and “recreation” of the original text while maintaining its intent, style, tone and context, making sure it is still appropriate in the context for which it is intended. The delivered transcreated copy was gone far above and beyond the client’s expectation.
